I’ll Make a Man Out of You: Peace Corps Mottos

Back during PST I had joked that our PC motto should be the song “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Disney’s Mulan.

And while I still believe that song is incredibly fitting – especially after seeing how much more difficult it is to be a woman in this country than it is to be a man – I have since stumbled upon a more fitting motto.

And while I’m definitely not a missionary – I’m just a girl who moved to Ethiopia hoping she could make a difference – these six words will stay with me for these next two years.
